Australia Post GP 150

Owned by Mark Dyble, who provided the photo's, this is an Australia Postmaster General GP 150 and, currently, the best example we have with it being original. It's in a bad way, but some unique features, such as the side stand, can be seen. The pics were taken in 2007.

The contract was awarded to Lambretta Australasia in January 1970.
And some pics provided by Peter Lopes of a more complete machine. This was for sale in Queensland. Trying to track it down.

SIL 1980 GP200

These photos were taken in 2012. The scooter has 2800 genuine km on the clock. Originally registered in Victoria, and bought from Stanco, it was then bought by someone in Byron Bay, but was never put on the road again. It was then purchased, in late 2011, by Siobhan Ellis, who returned it to original operating condition, including tracking down an indicator unit. It was still running on 6V points and had a CEV indicator unit (See technical section for details). When purchased it still had the original tyres (Kingfisher of India).

Siobhan has since sold it on, and made the new owner promise to not restore it. It's currently (2015) still being used around Sydney, although it has been since upgraded to an Electronic ignition and the seat finally fell apart, prompting a replacement.

This shows the original indicator unit "black box" in the battery tray. It contained 5 NiCad batteries, a flasher unit and a simple circuit board.
